It was a privilege to host Ukrainian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Vasyl Myroshnychenko at the Forrest Research Foundation last night. As part of the Foundation’s ongoing partnership with the Australian Institute of International Affairs and in collaboration with the Ukrainian community, we were honoured to have the Ambassador join us to discuss the developments on the ground as well as the prospects for US policy towards Ukraine under a second Trump administration.
During his speech, the Ambassador spoke of the tragedy of the conflict, the impact on the people of Ukraine and the consequences across Europe. Mr Vasyl Myroshnychenko followed his talk with a Q&A from the audience which covered a range of topics including global security. The Ambassador’s visit was a timely reminder of the ties between our two nations and our shared values of freedom, resilience and progress.
