The Forrest Research Foundation was delighted to host Artistic Director, Natalie Hennedige as part of the Perth Festival’s renown Festival Lab series. As part of the Festival Lab’s initiative, artists from any discipline are empowered to connect and experience the breadth of the festival’s offerings together, alongside an arts leader.
As Festival Director of the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2022-2025 and founder of Cake Theatrical Productions, in her role as Festival Lab Navigator, Ms Hennedige guided the emerging artists through an immersive, reflective journey as part of this innovative annual program.
In addition to the Festival Lab, Ms Hennedige generously joined the Foundation’s researchers for an ‘in-conversation’ dinner facilitated by Dr Cassandra Tytler, where she discussed the challenges of contemporary festivals, how we find the balance between emerging artists and star power, and the connection between a city’s personality and city festivals.
