Please note that the Forrest Research Foundation only manages bookings for our university partners and not-for-profit organisations. As we offer the room for free, Forrest Hall staff do not assist with room set up or clean up.
If you require the room to be set up in a specific style, please ensure your booking allows time for you to do this. The room must be returned to its original configuration at the end of your allotted booking time.
The Ashburton Room is the first room on the left once you enter both sets of glass doors. It can be set up in different configurations.
Please wipe down all surfaces after the event. No plates, cups or platters are to be left out dirty. Cleaning products can be found under the sink in the kitchenette. The grassed terrace and inside lounge areas must be kept clean, tidy and free of dirty dishes at all times.
Catering - we encourage sustainable catering options that have minimal waste. Please contact us if you would like a list of recommended caterers. If you are planning to serve alcohol at your event, you are required to arrange a liquor permit independently of this room booking. You should ask your preferred caterer for information about liquor licences.
Kitchenette - there is a kitchenette in the foyer. We have glasses, mugs, plates and cutlery available for use and encourage use of these for your event to minimise single-use items. These must be loaded into the dishwashers, located in the drawers to the right of the sink. Please turn on the dishwashers when full. The dishwasher tablets are on the bench or under the sink.
If you wish to use the IT or video-conference facilities, please arrange a trial run-through at least 48 hours prior to your meeting. There is no on-site IT support at Forrest Hall. The hidden words are "Forrest Research Foundation". If you require IT and/or AV support, you must arrange this independently of the room booking request. Refer to our AV Guide here.

Wi-Fi access - UWA Wi-Fi is available at Forrest Hall through Unifi and Eduroam. For external groups who can't access these networks, a minimum 24 hours’ notice is required if your guests will need Wi-Fi access.
