Georgia is a Psychologist with a Masters of Organisational Psychology from The University of Western Australia and is currently working towards becoming an Endorsed Organisational Psychologist. Georgia recently spent time working overseas and interstate in mining and consulting roles, which provided a broad view of the challenges global organisations and government agencies can face in assessing and selecting job candidates. These experiences provided exposure to the vast range of challenges companies and individuals can face as a result of poor hiring processes.
Georgia is now working towards a PhD based at Curtin’s Future of Work Institute. Through her studies, she will explore the value generative artificial intelligence can provide when used responsibly in an assessment and selection context. She hopes to investigate whether such advances in technology can improve our ability to accurately and fairly assess job candidates, and whether this supports hiring outcomes such as improved wellbeing, motivation, and performance. This research will benefit greatly from insights from fellow scholars and experts at the Forrest Research Foundation given the intersect between psychology and technology, and the potential application of research findings to a wide range of industries and roles.
