This week, we had the honour of Professor Alex Easton, Director of the Institute of Advanced Study at Durham University join us for a ‘fireside’ discussion. In his capacity as Director, he leads interdisciplinary programmes of work, which tackle large scale questions to form an integrated understanding of the key issues in memory research.
Over breakfast, Professor Easton, whose pioneering research specialises in behavioural neuroscience, generously shared insights into memory, learning and behaviour with our early-career researchers. In which he highlighted the benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration at all career stages and gave tips for maintaining passion for research.
As the morning unfolded, the Forrest Research Foundation researchers were able to delve into thought provoking discussions covering creativity, interdisciplinary dialogue, and innovation, making for an unforgettable and insightful session.
