Falling Walls Lab Perth - Applications Now Open

Calling creators, innovators, trailblazers and visionaries! Applications are now open for Falling Walls Lab Perth 2025.

Take part in this global pitch competition and impress the jury by presenting your ground-breaking idea in just three minutes! If you’re a student, researcher or early-career professional we invite you to present your innovative solution to a global challenge – one that positively impacts science and society. Winners will go on to the Australian Finale in Canberra with a chance to compete at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin this November.

Event details

• Date:  24 July 2025
• Time: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
• Schedule:
  • 3.30pm: Arrival and mingling
  • 4.00pm: Competition
  • 5.00pm: Judges deliberate, drinks and nibbles
  • 5.30pm: Winners announced, continue to sundowner
• Location: Forrest Research Foundation, Forrest Hall, 21 Hackett Drive, Crawley WA 6009 Australia
• Parking: Along Hackett Drive and within grounds of UWA (unfortunately no parking is available at the Forrest Research Foundation)
• Cost: Free but registration is required to attend
• Get tickets – Seats are limited (audience only)
