Aidan Archer
I believe our oceans hold the solution to a renewable future. A better understanding of extreme wave and current loads on the supporting structures of offshore wind turbines will help enable this future.

Aidan is passionate about understanding our natural world and solving problems to help people and the environment. Driven by his interests in our oceans and in applied mathematics, Aidan commenced a PhD in offshore hydrodynamics, investigating the interaction between extreme waves and offshore wind turbine structures. He hopes a better understanding of these wave-structure interactions will enable more intelligent design and help to drive down costs of future offshore wind farm projects, aiding the planet on the path to net-zero emissions.
