Alexander Turley
Alex uses composition as a lens through which the interconnections between music, ecology and temporality may be meaningfully examined. His work takes cues from the vast time scales of the natural world to cultivate narratives of belonging and connectedness for listeners.

Alex Turley is an Australian composer and collaborative artist whose music is performed around the world. In 2022 he was Young Composer-in-Residence with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and has recently written for A-Girl, Ali McGregor, Arcadia Winds, Banks, Ben Folds, Electric Fields, Emma Donovan, Eskimo Joe, Genesis Owusu, Jess Hitchcock, Ngaiire, Omega Ensemble, Paul Grabowsky, Ripple Effect, Rüfüs Du Sol, Sangam and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
