Liyuwork Dana
Liyuwork Dana is developing an index to map the location and extent of food insecurity among Australian households and identifying ways to improve assistance to these households.

Liyuwork Dana’s research project investigates the factors linked with the social vulnerabilities and food insecurity in children. Food insecurity is a growing public health concern in industrialised countries, including Australia. However, it is somewhat a hidden problem and not consistently and comprehensively measured in Australia, especially in children. The outcomes of this PhD research will guide the development of a new index called child-focused food stress and social vulnerability index (CFSI).
