Mr Matt Heydenrych
Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't.

Matt’s research aims to develop low cost epigenetic and RNA-based tools to aid in conservation and fisheries management. This is achieved through the development and testing of molecular biomarkers for sex and sexual maturity, first in zebrafish, and then expanded to other fish species and potentially a range of vertebrate species. Matt Heydenrych has extensive experience in environmental DNA (eDNA) research, and immensely enjoys the application of new molecular technologies to conservation of threatened ecosystems.
